During ultrasonic operation, nothing should be placed on the tank floor, as this could cause abrasion between the material being treated and the ultrasonic oscillating tank. Therefore, the use of a suitable basket to hold the material being treated is recommended. BANDELIN baskets are designed to ensure that the material being treated is always located within the optimal cavitation field (1-2 cm from the bottom) of the oscillating tank. A basket also allows the material to be conveniently placed in the unit and removed after operation, for example, for rinsing, without the user coming into contact with the sonication fluid in the oscillating tank.
